Today was the first morning of summer school at Robert Mitchell. It was so terrific to see the students again. Too many days have past since they left at the end of the school year. If you are interested in having your child attend please call the school as we have a few p Add Comment On the 23rd of April we hope everyone will attend our Breakfast with the Easter Bunny celebration. We were thrilled when so many people came to the Breakfast with Santa so we thought we would try it again. I would like to take a minute and thank the hundreds of volunteers we have had helping at Robert Mitchell this year. It is simply amazing what a difference they make in the lives of the students of Robert Mitchell! Our first Breakfast with Santa was quite the success. The pictures that were taken of the students can be picked up in the office area. We want to thank everyone who was able to attend. The staff of Robert Mitchell wish everyone the happiest Holida What an absolutely outstanding group of families, educators, and community members that made Jack's Carnival such a success!! We hope everyone had a fantastic time. Jack's Carnival will be here soon!! Make sure you stop by the school on October 22nd for all of the fun. We look forward to seeing you there. This Tuesday evening at 6:00 we will have Back to School Night for families who have students in kindergarten - third grade. We hope you will be able to attend! Our first week at school for the 2010 - 2011 year is now a memory. It was wonderful to meet the students and have some time to speak with them in the auditorium. It is so interesting how quickly children adjust to being back at school. By Friday they were shifting from classroom to cafeteria to the playground so easily. Their smiling faces were everywhere! At the end of each day I would stand at one of the back corners of the school and help them safely across the street. All of the students and their family members were SO SO welcoming as they called-out, "See you tomorrow, Mrs. Johnson!" Now we have a three day weekend to relax and enjoy our families!! We have spent SO much time getting ready for the new school year. It is an exciting time. I have enjoyed meeting the parents as they stopped by to register their children and purchase the new school shirt uniform. The first day of school will be simply the best!! Creating this web site for parents, students, educators and community members to use is hopefully something that all will hopefully benefit from having.
